TO FORM THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF FUTURE SAINTS THROUGH THE GIFT OF COMMUNITY AND THE CULTIVATION OF WISDOM.
"Upon this rock I will build my church."
The rock we chose to build upon is the SACRED HEART OF JESUS
The blessing of the celebration of the Eucharistic.
Whenever possible/ feasible we choose the blessing of mass to begin our day. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith. All graces of community, knowledge, and education spring forth from the font of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Eucharist. In the celebration of the Mass, we live the scripture “They shall all be taught by God.” (John 6:45)
The gift of the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The community has chosen the name Sacred Heart because it represents the highest vision of our Catholic heritage. Our hearts are ever more challenged to grow into the Sacred Heart of Jesus.... to love AS Jesus loved and to love WHAT He loved.
In addition, those devoted to the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are blessed with 12 promises given to Saint Margaret Mary including:
1: “I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.”
2: “I will establish peace in their homes.”
The gift of a Homeschooling community.
This community enables our children and our families to be supported in life long holy friendships, in our Catholic heritage and in homeschooling. We will journey much further if we journey together. Each family and individual has a call and is asked to nurture these relationships within the community.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church stresses the beauty and importance of community. The community is God “calling together” his people from all the ends of the earth.” (CCC 751) Saint John Chrysostom also describes the beauty of community. He states “You cannot pray at home as at church, where there is a great multitude, where exclamations are cried out to God as from one great heart, and where there is something more: the union of minds, the accord of souls, the bond of charity…”
The gift of a Classical Education and wisdom.
By focusing our attention on the good, the true, and the beautiful our children grow in the knowledge, and love of our Lord and the blessing of the world around them. This is to inspire a love of learning deep within our children’s hearts.
One definition from the Circe Institute: “CLASSICAL EDUCATION" is the cultivation of wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty by means of the seven liberal arts and the four sciences.(Circe Institute) so that in Christ the student is better able to know, glorify, and enjoy God (Andrew Kern)."
WWJPD... What Would John Paul II Do?
We chose to follow in the large footsteps of Saint Pope John Paul II when making decisions regarding direction or which require discernment.
"In the Sacred Heart every treasure of wisdom and knowledge is hidden"
